The Award

The award aims to enrich the culture of digital innovation and R&D by motivating researchers and patent holders to develop new innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities, as well as commercializing and launching promising ideas into the market and providing them with needed technical and business support.

Who can participate?

Digital Research

The research team should consist of at least two members out of which one should be a Saudi citizen.
The research must be in the field of Telecommunication & Information Technology.
The research has to be from one of the university levels (BSc, MSc, PhD) or ‏accredited research institutes.
The research date shouldn’t be older than 2017.
The research solves an existing problem in the market and can be prototyped.

Digital Patent

The patent must be in the field of Telecommunication & Information Technology.
The patent has to be originated from university or accredited research institutes.
The patent has to be registered with SAIP.
The patent solves an existing problem in the market and can be prototyped.
The patent should not have been previously commercialized.
