The Digital Entrepreneurship Center “CODE,” affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, concluded the HealthTech Challenge with a closing ceremony celebrating a journey that began at LEAP 25 — a journey marked by specialized training phases that culminated in a showcase of innovative digital solutions.
The challenge ran digitally for nearly three months, from February 9 to May 27, featuring an educational and developmental journey that included registration, business model development, a training bootcamp, technical support, the competition day, and finally the closing ceremony.
The main objective of the challenge was to empower Saudi teams specializing in health technology to design innovative digital solutions that combine business model development with product innovation principles in the healthcare sector.
Several specialized teams from across the Kingdom participated in the challenge, which included intensive workshops and mentorship sessions to support the development of healthtech projects.
During the competition phase, teams presented innovative prototypes featuring data analytics tools, interactive interfaces, and medical information extraction systems.
The closing ceremony honored the winning teams — Premedica, Clinome, and Zofa Lab — who received total prizes worth SAR 450,000, with each winner receiving SAR 150,000, sponsored by MVP Lab / NTDP.
In addition, winners of the Generative AI Award — Vleed, AI Sima, and iCareWay — were recognized with total prizes of SAR 60,000, with each team receiving SAR 20,000, presented by the organizing partner, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.
The HealthTech Challenge is a strategic initiative by CODE that aims to enhance Saudi talent in the field of digital health, supporting the growth of the digital economy and fostering local innovation, particularly in vital sectors such as healthcare.
